Coire an t-Sneachda

Adopted by Raymond and Joan

This is a popular and very accessible route leading from the Cairngorm Mountain car park into Coire an t-Sneachda. It is a good, well-made path which is very scenic so it offers easy and enjoyable walking. A wide range of different users utilise the path. These include hill walkers making for Cairn Lochan and the Cairngorm plateau as well as rock and ice climbers accessing the many routes on the cliffs within the corrie. In addition the ease of access from the car park mean that many casual visitors use the lower part of the path to gain some experience of being in the grandeur of the Cairngorms. Views from the path are excellent both north across Rothiemurchus and the Spey Valley as well as south to the cliffs and boulder fields of the Coire itself.
