Mount Keen is the most easterly of Scotland’s Munros, taking the form of a dome-shaped swelling above the general level of the vast Mounth plateaux. Although the shortest route to this 939 meter high mountain is from Glen Esk in the south, by far the finest is the longer approach from the north through the magnificent Caledonia Pine Forest of Glen Tanar.
