Windy Ridge

Adopted by Brian.

Aptly named, Windy Ridge path quickly gets you up Sron an Aonaich from the ski centre car park onto higher ground, so if it’s a quick jaunt to the top of popular Cairngorm, or access on to the quieter and more deserted plateau and the higher peaks, then head under the funicular as it leaves the station to find the well signposted start of the path. It soon opens up to a grand view back over Rothiemurchus and Loch Morlich to Strathspey below with Aviemore well in the distance. It does cross the piste a couple of times so take care of skiers in the winter.
