Glittering Skellies

A route that links two stunning valleys, starts from the east rising up out of a unique natural upland wood via a well-crafted stone stair to bring you up under the granite slabs that (on a sunny day) form the Glittering Skellies. From here you ascend at a steady incline across the tundra of the alpine plateau with Loch Esk nestled just below. The path narrows into a ribbon of singletrack marked by wooden posts that carries you over to the famous Jocks Road at the Western end.
